How to Add Multiple Cryptocurrencies to Your Ledger Live Wallet
Ledger Live is the official app for managing your cryptocurrency portfolio using a Ledger hardware wallet. It allows you to store, send, receive, and track a wide range of digital assets. One of the great features of Ledger Live is the ability to add multiple cryptocurrencies to a single wallet. This guide will walk you through the steps to add various cryptocurrencies to your Ledger Live Wallet, so you can manage all your assets in one secure place.
Step 1: Install Ledger Live and Set Up Your Ledger Device
Before you can add cryptocurrencies to your Ledger Live Wallet, you need to install the Ledger Live application and set up your Ledger hardware device (Nano S or Nano X). Here’s how to get started:
- Download and install Ledger Live from the official Ledger website or from the app store on your mobile device (iOS/Android).
- Open the Ledger Live app and connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer or mobile device.
- Follow the setup instructions to configure your Ledger device if you haven’t already.

After successfully setting up your Ledger device, the next step is to open Ledger Live and go to the "Manager" tab to install the apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to add. Here’s how:
- In the Ledger Live application, click on the “Manager” tab in the left-hand menu.
- Ledger Live will show a list of supported cryptocurrency apps. If your device is not yet connected, you will be prompted to connect it.
- Browse through the available apps or use the search bar to find specific cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or others.
Step 3: Install Cryptocurrency Apps
Now that you're in the Manager tab, you can begin installing the apps for the cryptocurrencies you wish to manage. Follow these steps:
- Select the cryptocurrency app you want to install and click the “Install” button next to it.
- The app will be installed onto your Ledger device, and the process will be completed in just a few seconds.
- Repeat this step for every cryptocurrency you want to manage. You can install apps for multiple cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and many others.
Step 4: Create Accounts for Each Cryptocurrency
Once the apps are installed on your Ledger device, you can now create individual accounts for each cryptocurrency in Ledger Live:

- Click the “Add Account” button and select the cryptocurrency you want to add an account for.
- Ledger Live will detect the corresponding app on your Ledger device and automatically create a new account for that cryptocurrency.
- Repeat the process for each cryptocurrency you’ve installed on your Ledger device. Each account will appear in the “Accounts” section of Ledger Live.
Step 5: Start Managing Your Cryptocurrencies
Now that you’ve added multiple cryptocurrencies to your Ledger Live Wallet, you can begin managing your assets:
